Fitness training exercise routine is based on the four primary elements of physical fitness. And no matter whether you are athlete that desires to optimize the results, or beginner that has just started hard and daunting way to improve health and lifestyle, all your goals will be based on these elements - aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, flexibility and balance.

All activities you perform every day (taking a walk, swimming, climbing the stairs, washing the dishes) require oxygen intake. Regular aerobic fitness training increases the ability of your body to use oxygen. The term "aerobic capacity" describes how well you may use oxygen. If you have high aerobic capacity, then your heart transports and delivers large amounts of oxygen throughout your body much more efficiently. That is resulted in your daily activities. You may notice that you complete routine tasks and rise to unexpected challenges, such as running to your car in pouring rain easier.

If you want to succeed in achieving good aerobic capacity, then you should try to find fitness training activities that you will enjoy doing regularly. The best choice is to find yourself a variety of exercises that will increase your motivation of fitness training. This could be running, dancing, bicycling or water aerobics. Aerobic exercise should last at least 20 minutes in order to obtain health benefits (better consult your doctor or trainer).

Muscular fitness training is all about the strength and endurance of your muscles. It is obvious that your daily routine becomes much easier to overcome if your muscles are more fit. It includes lifting groceries, mowing the yard or even pushing a vacuum cleaner. Strength fitness training helps you improve your muscles, increase your body's muscle mass, eliminates undesired fats and extra weight. There is a variety of different training options like using resistance bands, free weights, weight machines or your even own body weight to increase muscular strength and endurance. If your fitness training program includes more than one of these options - it will help you ensure that you will get greater muscular fitness.

Flexibility responds for the ability of your joints to move properly through their full range of motion. To get yourself good flexibility you should do stretching exercises. It is obvious that additional flexibility will work for you in doing different routine tasks. The best way to become more flexible is to include stretches in your daily fitness training. No matter what type of stretching exercises you will choose (Yoga, Pilates, tai chi), try to make flexibility training an integral part of your workout plan.

Balance is usually associated with our body's core muscle strength. These are the muscles in the lower back, abdomen, hips and pelvis. Such muscles provide the body unique support system for almost any activity we perform. They really help us maintain stability and balance every day. The best way to improve balance is performing special core exercises. They strengthen the muscles at the center of your body, just where your center of gravity is located. Balance exercises help us combat poor posture, low back pain, prevent falls and related injuries.
