Exercise
Almost every person in the world has few extra pounds of useless fat or weight that they really want to get rid of. Some people have quite a bit of extra weight, others have a lot. The important thing to recognize about losing weight is that the best way to work out your weight loss or gain is to use your body fat percentage and measurements of your waist and other parts of your body that the scales are not the best way.
There are two obvious things that may help you to loose fat and extra weight. These are low fat and healthy diet and of course regular exercise.
First thing you should do and remember is 40 -45 minutes of cardiovascular exercise at least three times a week. You may choose any exercise you want, but most popular and effective are: stationary bicycle, treadmill, stationary rowing machine, and cross trainer. For successful fat burning there is absolutely no matter which exercises you will choose to do. The only thing is to work at the optimal heart rate for fat burning. It is about 65 - 75 percent of your maximum heart rate. The point is that if you will work out at the harder level you will not increase your fat burning, but you will just load your heart. So it is quite important to keep an eye on the heart rate when you are working out.
We can divide the benefits from exercise in 2 parts - the long tem benefits and the short term benefits. It is not a surprise that there are much more long term benefits of regular exercise than the short term ones. For example we can note the following: the risk of heart disease and blood pressure decreases, body fat and cholesterol amount decreases too. Also the things that decrease during long term exercise are: risk of cancer, risk of diabetes, risk of osteoporosis, and the chances of premature death. Among short term benefits we can distinguish three: exercise relaxes and revitalizes the body, gives a break from daily worries and routines and of course helps you to feel good about yourself.
It is obvious that exercise and physical activity may add years to your life and life to your years. The more exercise you do, the greater are the health benefits. But it is important to understand the difference between the physical activity and exercise. To the physical activity is referred any movement that uses energy. But exercise is the physical activity that is structured (i.e. is done at a certain intensity level and for a certain length of time). We engage in physical activity and exercise for both health benefits (if we wish to avoid disease and delay death) and for fitness benefits (in order to improve some components of physical fitness like cardio respiratory endurance, muscle endurance, muscle strength, flexibility, and body composition).
The last thing to remember is that while many people start a physical activity exercise program because of long-term benefits, it's the short-term benefits that make them continue the habit.
